Sketches of Saltaire

I was pleased to be commissioned to make four prints of original drawings of the wonderful architecture in Saltaire, a Victorian ‘Model Village’ and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Further prints (of various sizes) can be requested by contacting me.

Betty’s Wood St Ives Estate Bingley

I have been captivated by the stark beauty of the remaining Scots pines left at the edge of Betty’s Wood, St Ives Estate, Bingley. The Wood was cut down a few years ago when the Larch Pine was infected with Phytophthora ramorum (Larch Disease). The remaining pines are thin and etiolated because they once struggled for light.

The Snow arrives

the recent snow always transforms the local landscape. I have to go out and gather sketches and photos. Recent series completed in the studio.

Response to the museum collection

I was invited to create a response to items in the Bradford Museums Collection as part of a group show. I was fascinated by the rhythms and shapes to be found in the Hattersley Looms held at Bradford Industrial Museum
