I am pleased to have recently sold four prints of original drawings to a Saltaire business, of sketches I have done of the wonderful architecture in Saltaire, a Victorian ‘Model Village’ and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Betty’s Wood St Ives Estate Bingley

I have been captivated by the stark beauty of the remaining Scots pines left at the edge of Betty’s Wood, St Ives Estate, Bingley. The Wood was cut down a few years ago when the Larch Pine was infected with Phytophthora ramorum (Larch Disease). The remaining pines are thin and etiolated because they once struggled for light.

The Snow arrives

the recent snow always transforms the local landscape. I have to go out and gather sketches and photos. Recent series completed in the studio.

Response to the museum collection

I have been recently invited to create a response to items in the Bradford Museums Collection. I was fascinated by the rhythms and shapes to be found in the Hattersley Looms held at Bradford Industrial Museum
